Artist Talk: Tuesday, August 14 at 7 p.m.

This exhibit is part of the Working Artist Project and is by Kirstin Mitchell. “Miecz” means “sword” dating back to the 9th century. Miecznikowski is a colorful and texturally playful installation that touches on identity and the interruption of atmosphere. Entombment and weightlessness question tradition and the body. Miecznikowski fantasizes a Polish narrative from the Middle Ages while highlighting a goofball blue collar immigration to the South.
