This exhibit features works by Carlos Tirado. This exhibition title "Tirado al piso," is a clever word play loaded with good intended pun. Although it has the catch that it works best in Spanish, it still has great value in its universal sense. In Spanish, Carlos Tirado's last name means "thrown". So this is the literal translation: "thrown to the floor". The first image that comes to the artist's mind after this combination of words, and the bills on the floor of the exhibition, is "lack of value." Although this can be directly related to the Venezuelan currency, the spirit of these words is not just about money. The artist believes that in the current Venezuelan society there is a widespread lack of value.
