On fire, but not consumed by the flames, The Burning Brush is an incendiary visual declaration by Athlone Clarke, one of arts most authentic and provocative voices. A metaphorical reference to Exodus 3:1-15 (King James Version), this multimedia exhibition, via a deft fusion of thoughtful brushwork, textual commentary and reclaimed documental artifacts, demands attention and inspires awe. This exhibition is presented in the Auburn Avenue Research Library’s first floor Cary-McPheeters Gallery.
