On Saturday, July 7 the Museum partners with Atlanta’s Nakato Japanese Restaurant to bring to life the Japanese Star Festival, Tanabata. The annual festival celebrates the meeting of two deities, Hikoboshi and Orihime, who are separated by the Milky Way and only allowed to meet once a year. Participate in an authentic origami class in the Art Studio led by guests from Nakato, listen to Japanese children’s stories, and jump into a Tanabata lantern parade!
