Grand Opening Reception and Artist Talk: Saturday, March 18 from 7 to 9 p.m.

"Speechless," an exhibition by photographer Ashley Berrie, is inspired by her oldest son, Ethan, who was diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Apraxia is a speech disorder in which the brain has difficulty coordinating muscle movements necessary for speech. Berrie had always photographed her children, but upon reflection of the images of Ethan, she realized where Ethan could not speak, the photographs did. Spoken words were not necessary for her son to truly have a voice.
