Description
Opening Reception: Wednesday, November 29 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Robert Sagerman returns to Marcia Wood Gallery with his fifth exhibition, titled “Totalizations.” Sagerman’s monochromatic color field paintings are comprised of thousands of applied marks of silicone or paint, the final number of which is ultimately the title of the finished piece, i.e. 10,789, 13,357, 23,869 and so on. Underlying this process-driven practice is the study of Jewish mysticism for which the artist earned a Ph.D from New York University in 2008.
