The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art presents works by Dennis Campay and Steve Steinman. Two artists’ bodies of work that initially seem unrelated find common ground in "Lost Parts and Found Narratives." This joint exhibition explores a selection of paintings by Campay and metalwork sculptures by Steinman. The autobiographical, symbolic works by Campay present scenarios that are very personal but still invite each viewer to discover their own significance. Steinman focuses on human consumption, waste, and repurposing with his circular sculptures made of found materials. Both Campay and Steinman implement concepts of recycling and re-presentation; in doing so, both explore the dynamic role of the creator in bringing meaning to a piece of art.
