Cobb Landmarks & Historical Society hosts a special exhibition featuring photos, research materials, and artwork from famed Atlanta historian Wilbur G. Kurtz. The exhibition will be on display at the William Root House Museum in historic downtown Marietta. The exhibition features historic photos of some of Cobb's most recognizable landmarks, including the Lost Mountain Store, Kennesaw Mountain, and the Marietta Freight Depot. The exhibition also includes original artworks by Kurtz featuring Marietta's Rockford Plantation and a depiction of the Great Locomotive Chase. Items related to Kurtz's role as historian and technical advisor for Gone With the Wind are also on display.
