Description

Opening Reception: Thursday, November 3 from 5 to 8 p.m.

"Grownupland" is a playful solo exhibition by experimental visual artist Leisa Rich. The show is based on her childhood recollections of dressing Barbie, the It's A Small World ride at Disneyland, a weeping willow tree, Saturdays at Dad's electrical shop, and her deafness. The works address how those positive and negative experiences have since informed her art. Rich's works - a feast for the senses - invite playful, social interaction via sculptural installations that envelop viewers.
