Description

Artist Talk: Saturday, November 18 at 2 p.m.

Sandler Hudson Gallery presents a show of new photography by Kelly Kristin Jones. Jones’ photos document a new type of memorial—that of absence. Jones photographs Civil War monuments and edits her work digitally. By employing Photoshop’s aptly named “spot healing tool”, she diminishes the bulky demands made of the landscape by each statue or marker and in so doing also presents us with a new form of documentation—that of omission.
