This Latin American film series takes place at the Plaza Theatre and features movies from Guatemala, Argentina and Cuba. In IXCANUL, a young indigenous woman does not want to live in the modern world until it saves her life during a pregnancy complication. Jayro Bustamante's Guatemalan film opens up this year's program on November 4. In ESPEJUELOS OSCUROS (DARK GLASSES), a woman distracts a criminal by sharing three of the dozens of tales she has written from different periods of Cuba's history. Jessica Rodriguez's debut feature screens on November 11. Argentine tango dancers María Nieves Rego and Juan Carlos Copes discuss their personal and professional relationship in German Kral's UN TANGO MÁS (OUR LAST TANGO), closing out the series on November 18.
