UUCA's Underground Theatre will give voice to the poignancy and humor of Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. in a staged reading of his work, featuring selected short stories from his posthumously published "Armageddon in Retrospect." One of the most acclaimed American writers of the 20th Century, Vonnegut was a prisoner of war during WWII and witnessed first hand the aftermath of the Allied bombing of Dresden. In this collection of short stories, he writes of the absurdity and horror of war with a sense of moral outrage and dark humor. Performed by a small group of actors, the readings will make you think, sometimes laugh, and perhaps cry.
