Dance and jazz intertwine in a new show performed by the Atlanta Ballet.
“Heart/Beat: Gospel, Brubeck and Rhythms of the City” will showcase the three works by Alexander Ekman, Lar Lubovitch, and a world premiere by Dwight Rhoden.
Rhoden collaborated with the Spelman College Glee Club to set the dance performance to gospel and spiritual songs.
“Heart/Beat” will be performed Feb. 7 to 15 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.
