Go on a tethered hot air balloon ride or go camping on the rooftop of Ponce City Market.
Here are some of the most anticipated events happening in Atlanta this week.
When: July 31, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Millennium Gate Museum Courtyard, 395 17th St. NW, Atlanta
Unwind by doing yoga on the grounds of the Millennium Gate Museum. The free class will be led by an Evolation Yoga instructor.
When: Aug. 1 to 4, 5 to 9 p.m.
Where: Piedmont Park, 1215 Piedmont Ave. Northeast, Atlanta
Cost: $30 for a Tethered Ride
At this first-ever event, hot air balloon rides will ascend in Piedmont Park. While it’s free to hang out in the event grounds, it will cost $30 per person to go on a tethered ride. Act fast, because specific days are selling out.
When: Aug 2, 7 to 10 p.m.
Where: Georgia Aquarium, 225 Baker St. NW, Atlanta
Cost: $39.95 for General Admission
This beach-inspired party will include seaside offerings, such as tropical drinks. Tickets will buy attendees access to the aquarium after hours complete a live DJ and tapas.
When: Fridays and Saturday evenings, June 1 to Aug. 11
Where: Ponce City Roof, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE, Atlanta
Cost: $15 for adults and kids
Go a camping trip to experience the great outdoors of Atlanta skyline. Ponce City Roof will be transformed into a 21 and over summer camp complete with themed games, drinks and eats. The rooftop will be decked out with Boy Scout-style tents and a campfire.
When: Aug. 3, 3 to 11 p.m.
Where: 787 Windsor Street Southwest, Atlanta
Cost: $30 for General Admission Tier 1
Come out to this music festival to hear reggae, dancehall, soca, afro beats and hip hop music. Some of the artists who will be performing are Konshens, Olatunji and Imani Ray. During the day, there will also be cultural exhibitions, live paintings and games.
