With Earth Day right around the corner, show the environment some love.
Try your hand in composting organic materials or plant your own organic herb to give back to the Earth.
When: April 20, 4 to 8 p.m.
Where: Urban Sprout Farms, 2200 Reynolds Drive SW, Atlanta
Cost: $35 for adults, $15 for children 12 and older, free for children under 12
Admission into this event includes access to a plant-based buffet stocked with Jackfruit Quesadillas, Street Tacos, Forbidden Fried Rice and more. Attendees will be able to take home their own organic plant as well.
When: April 22, 7 p.m.
Where: Monday Night Garage, 933 Lee St. SW, Atlanta
This open to the public event will give attendees the chance to learn how to compost and to win prizes. Atlanta based growers will also be on site as the celebration of community-based composting happens.
When: April 23, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

From Earth-friendly art stations to gardening activities, there will be plenty of ways for the family to participate in eco-friendly projects. Inside of the Children’s Garden Amphitheater, there will be stories with Betty Ann Wylie as Mother Nature during the festivities.

Where: Blue Heron Nature Preserve, 4055 Roswell Road NE, Atlanta
Blue Heron Nature Preserve will be the site of various Earth Day events. To participate in the Bird Walk, Native Plant Walk, Blueway Trail Tours, Scavenger Hunt, Plein Air Art Workshop, Art of Nature Opening, Exhale Yoga, River Tales and Girl Scout Water Drop Project be sure to register online.
