Are you itching to get your hands dirty exploring soil on Atlanta farms, learn how the worlds in Star Wars compare to planets in our solar system, find out how ice cream is made, or hold a snake?

The annual Atlanta Science Festival, which kicks off on March 9, gives attendees a chance to do all that and much, much more. The festival features more than 100 events around the city.

“We’re passionate about sharing the beauty of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with the whole Atlanta community,” Jordan Rose, executive co-director of Atlanta Science Festival, said in a statement. “And there’s no better place than Atlanta, which continues to be a global leader in scientific innovation.”

Spread out over two weeks, it features hands-on activities, presentations, performances and more at a number of locations. It concludes on March 23 with the Exploration Expo” in Piedmont Park.
