Here are some of the highly-anticipated events of the week.

Atlanta Sci-Fi and Fantasy Expo 2019

When: March 9, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Where: North DeKalb Mall, 2042 Lawrenceville Highway, Decatur

Cost: Free

The fifth Atlanta Sci-Fo and Fantasy Expo will be bringing more than 70 vendors, authors and cosplayers to the North DeKalb Mall for fun geared to fans. Tournaments for video and card games will be on site, along with live performances.

Atlanta Brunch Festival

When: March 9, 12 to 4 p.m.

Where: Atlantic Station, 241 20th St. NW, Atlanta

Cost: $20 for general admission after Feb. 28, $25 for general admission day of the event;

Enjoy brunch eats and drinks created by local restaurants by visiting this festival in Atlantic Station. Broken Egg Cafe, Maggiano’s, and Five Church are a few of the food vendors that will be on site. Food tastes will cost $3 and drinks will range from $5 to $8 for those with general admission. Bottomless drinks and VIP tickets are also available for purchase online.

Atlanta United Block Party

When: March 9, 12 to 6 p.m.

Where: Edgewood Avenue, 431 Edgewood Ave. SE, Atlanta

Cost: $18 for general admission

Fans of Atlanta’s MLS soccer team will unite for this block party that will help kick off the season. Admission gives attendees a complimentary beer along with access to live music at this 21 and over event.

Malts And Vaults Of Oakland: Where Beer Meets History

When: March 9, 4 p.m.

Where: Historic Oakland Cemetery, 248 Oakland Ave. SE, Atlanta

Cost:  $16 for adults, $12 for students with ID and seniors, $8 for Oakland Foundation member

Sip on a beer samples after taking a guided walking tour of Oakland Cemetary. The authors of “Atlanta Beer: A Heady History of Brewing In The Hub of the South and Prohibition in Atlanta” will be onsite to sign copies will be on site.

Spring Arts Market at Cultured South

When: March 10, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: Cultured South, 1038 White St. Southwest, Atlanta

Cost: Free

Come out to this market for Kombucha, music and items made by local artisans. Drogo Coffee and Tea, Bex Pottery and other vendors will be selling a variety of offerings at this dog-friendly event.
