Musically speaking, kick the weekend off with a free local concert in Marietta’s square before seeing superstars Beyoncé and Jay-Z at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday or Sunday.

What to Expect: Set in 1619 in England, Atlanta native Lauren Gunderson’s play follows a group of William Shakespeare’s devotees who scramble to publish his plays in an effort to preserve his legacy. After this Friday’s show there will be a “Page to Stage Talkback” during which representatives from the cast, creative team, and staff share how they moved the show from script to finished production. Also for working artists, management and support staff, $15 industry tickets are available for the Thursday 7:30 p.m. and Saturday 2:30 p.m. shows this week.

What to Expect: Head to the Marietta Square for an outdoor show by Crystal Clear Band. The concerts are free but if you are looking for a “front-row seat,” a limited number of tables can be reserved for a fee.
