MAP: Top 10 Summer Destinations In Atlanta, According To Lyft

Lyft says its passengers are spending more time and money in the Atlanta area, and that the city has become a top location for summer travel.

The ride-sharing service recently announced a list of most popular summer destinations in Atlanta as a guide for enjoying what’s left of the summer.

The list includes Lyft’s most popular destinations from May to July.

According to Lyft’s 2018 Economic Impact Report, 66 percent of Atlanta passengers use Lyft to get to restaurants and entertainment venues, 59 percent use Lyft to get to the airport and 40 percent use Lyft to get to work.

Here are the top 10 Atlanta destinations from May to July:

1. Georgia Aquarium

Surrounded by other museums like the Center for Civil and Human Rights and the World of Coca-Cola, the Georgia Aquarium made the list as the most popular Lyft destination in Atlanta. The aquarium is home to all kinds of aquatic animals, like seals, stingrays, zebra sharks and more.

2. W Atlanta- Midtown

This hotel is the second most popular destination for Atlanta’s Lyft riders. It houses a pool that is open through October, a spa, a restaurant, a cafe  and a 24-hour fitness center, according to its website. You can even bring your pets.

3. Six Flags Over Georgia

If you enjoy roller coasters, this popular attraction is a must for a Georgia summer. When bought at the park, general admission is $69.99 for adults, $49.99 for children under 48 inches and free for children who are 2 years old and younger.

4. Dark Horse Tavern

Dark Horse Tavern is a place to get drinks, burgers and hear live music. There’s also live band karaoke on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, according to its website.

5. Hotel Clermont

Hotel Clermont was built in the 1920s and closed in 2009. This year, it reopened with a new look, and it continues to be a popular Atlanta destination.

6. Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall

Located along the BeltLine in the Old Fourth Ward, Ladybird offers craft cocktails, wine and local beer, according to its website. The brunch, lunch and dinner menus change often and sometimes daily.

7. Lakewood Amphitheatre

This popular concert venue first opened in 1989 and spans 75 acres of a beautifully wooded area, according to its website. Upcoming concerts feature performances by Kesha, Macklemore, Wiz Khalifa  and other artists.

8. Blake’s On The Park

This venue offers dancing, drag shows and more “in the heart of Altanta’s Gayborhood,” according to its website. Its menu includes burgers, salads, wraps, sandwiches, beer, wine and more.

9. New Realm Brewing

This brewery offers $8 tours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Its restaurant menu includes burgers, pizzas and more.

10. Fado Irish Pub

The Buckhead location is the most popular for riders, according to Lyft. Fado first opened in January 1996, according to its website. Its menu includes salads, sandwiches, desserts and a variety of alcoholic beverages.
