It’s America’s Independence Day again, and that means it’s time for our nation’s favorite explosive entertainment: fireworks!
If you live in metro Atlanta, you won’t be far from a town square or park with a firework display.
Most shows begin at around 9:30 p.m., with food and live music during the day, but check the more information links to make sure of the full schedules of each event.
Marietta Fourth in the Park
Independence day starts off at 10 a.m. with a parade through Marietta Square, followed by a full day of live music, food and crafts vendors. Marietta’s firework show is one of the largest in Cobb County and it’s free.

Acworth Fourth of July Celebration
Acworth’s Independence Day celebration at Cauble Park includes live music starting at 4 p.m., food and drinks, and a huge firework show over Lake Acworth.

Kennesaw’s Salute to America
Kennesaw’s 4th of July celebration actually takes place on July 3 at Depot Park, with food vendors, kid’s activities and two stages of live music from The 80ators, Boston cover band Don’t Look Back, and The American Flyers, followed by a firework show.

Sandy Springs Stars and Stripes Celebration
Sandy Spring’s Independence Day party on the Concourse Corporate Center lawn includes live music from the band Shiloh and a firework display in the evening. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner to eat on the lawn.

GWCCA Fourth of July Celebration
The Georgia World Congress Center Authority’s Independence Day celebration is moving to the International Plaza for live music entertainment and a an evening fireworks display.

Stone Mountain’s July 4 experience features an enhanced patriotic laser show with fireworks every night from July 1 through July 7.

East Point’s Salute To The Red, White And Blue
This event features family friendly activities, food, margaritas and musical performances by Band of Champions Marching Band, Maya Neiada, Jae Crue and Guru Fish, followed by a digital pyrotechnic firework display set to music.

Roswell’s Annual 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza
Roswell High School’s Independence Day carnival includes family-friendly games, inflatables and food trucks, followed by live music performances by the Last Call Band and Banks and Shane and a fireworks display to finish the night.

16th Annual Star Spangled Fourth
Mall of Georgia’s Independence Day celebration offers children’s and family activities, inflatables, live music, food and a live performance of the National Anthem by the Mike Veal Band. Stick around after the fireworks for a screening of “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.”

Ponce City Market: Fireworks in Fourth Ward & Rooftop Backyard Luau BBQ
The annual Rooftop Backyard BBQ event on Ponce City Market’s Skyline Park, Nine Mile Station and Rooftop Terrace offers a barbecue dinner, drinks, kid’s activities and a live DJ. A private VIP experience with more food options and a better view of the fireworks is also available.

Norcross July 4th Celebration – Red, White & Boom!
Norcross’s Independence Day at Thrasher Park features food trucks, art and food vendors, and live music, followed by a fireworks show.

Six Flags Over Georgia is doing a fireworks show at the park every night from June 30 through July 4. The best view will be from between American Scream Machine and Sky Coaster.

Duluth Town Green’s firework celebration includes live bands, food trucks and children’s activities, finishing the night with a fireworks display.

Decatur’s Fourth Of July Pied Piper Parade, Concert and Fireworks
The Independence Day party in Decatur starts with a community parade at 6 p.m., which anyone can join. Walk, ride a bike or even make a float, but get there by 5:30 p.m. to line up.
After the parade, The Callanwolde Concert Band will perform live, followed by a fireworks display.

Chamblee Fourth of July Celebration
Chamblee’s Independence Day celebration at Keswick Park features live music from classic soul cover band Bogey and the Viceroy, food and family activities including a bike parade from Chamblee Middle school and a cornhole tournament followed by fireworks.

Douglasville 4th of July Independence Day Parade
This July 4 celebration starts with a parade at 10 a.m., followed by a family festival at Hunter Memorial Park with inflatables, a game truck, food, and live music. The festival is from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m., but there will be a firework show at dusk.

Cumming Fairgrounds July 4th Celebration
This Independence Day party starts at 10 a.m. with a Steam Engine Parade, followed by and outdoor event at Cumming Fairgrounds that includes food, live music with a dance contest, a kid’s zone and fireworks.

Alpharetta’s July 4th Fireworks At Wills Park
The Fourth of July party at Wills Park includes children’s activities and three live DJ’s playing dance music throughout the night. There will also be vendors selling food, including barbecue, Mediterranean dishes, pizza and tacos, as well as drinks and ice cream. Plus there’s a giant wooden castle for children to watch the fireworks from.
