Georgia is full of talented artists and musicians, and you can show your support for them at a number of local music series.

Each series features a different artist or band for each event, spanning a variety of genres from bluegrass to jazz. The performances range in price, but some are free to enter, and many of the venues are outdoors, so they can be a great family friendly way to spend your summer.

Costs for parking and concessions are not always included, so be prepared for extra expenses. Many of the series offer membership programs with cost benefits for guests who plan to attend multiple performances.

Several of the venues are outdoor lawn seating, so remember to bring chairs, blankets or beach towels to sit on. Check before bringing things like plastic tables and umbrellas though, because many venues restrict these items.
