In the past few years food trucks have exploded in popularity in Atlanta, and there are lots of opportunities to find your favorite local food trucks gathered together this summer.
From burgers to tacos, Italian to Hibachi, and from ice pops to carnival food, you can find a wide range of meal, snack and dessert options at a food truck gathering.
These are perfect opportunities to meet some friends, roam from truck to truck sampling dishes and soak up some sun.
Whether you are indecisive and want lots of options, enjoy piecing together eclectic dishes or simply want an easy meal for an outdoor picnic, these food truck gatherings are the perfect spots to grab a quick bite this summer.
Where: 1850 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta
When: Open Daily
This is a permanent food truck park that is open for lunch and dinner. The park sits on three acres of land with lots of green space and parking. A wide variety of food trucks – including barbecue, Hibachi, ice cream, Jamacian food and much more – rotate in and out of the park on their own schedules. Check out the group’s Facebook page for hours and the lineup of trucks on any given day. It also features a farmers market, live music and entertainment periodically (generally over the weekend).

When: Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Enjoy bites from your favorite Atlanta food trucks at this lunchtime event, which is presented in partnership with Atlanta Street Food Coalition. Participating trucks include Let’s Tacobout It, The Royal Pig BBQ, Gyro Chef, Pattywagon ATL, Meatballerz and several others. Check the weekly lineup of food trucks before you go.
Where: North Avenue NW at Georgia Tech
When: Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Spend your lunchtime in the heart of the Georgia Tech campus near Tech Green to sample these food trucks. Participants vary by day and include Japanese-inspired street food, mac and cheese, flat breats, tex-mex and more. See the Spring Lineup of trucks.
Where: 2828 Cherokee St. NW, Kennesaw
When: Through Oct. 30, Monday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Dinner at the Depot in downtown Kennesaw features a mix of live music and various food trucks. Frequent participants include CHEF Q SOUL SHACK, Tom+Chee Food Truck, The Royal Pig BBQ, C’est Tout Bon 2 Eat and Kona Ice. See the event’s Facebook page for updates. The event also overlaps with the nearby Kennesaw Farmer’s Market.
Where: Blackburn Park; 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta
When: Through Oct. 3, Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
At this weekly event foodies can expect between eight and ten food truck dining options, a beer and wine tent, live entertainment, and activities for children. Limited seating is available, and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to picnic. Parking is free. Check the Facebook Event page for updates.
Where: 37 Old Roswell St., Roswell
When: Through Oct. 11, Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m.
This dinnertime food truck extravaganza lines up along Old Roswell Street. Between seven and ten food trucks attend each event on a rotating schedule, and seating is available along the street. Where: Brook Run Park; 4770 N. Peachtree Rd., Dunwoody
When: Through Oct. 26, Thursday from 5 p.m. until dark
Enjoy community, food and music at this weekly event in Dunwoody. Cotton Cravings, ANGELFIRE7 BBQ, Brainfood Hawt Cheese Market, FruitSmashers Food Truck and Five Finger Philly are some of the common participants. Check the event’s Facebook page for the most up-to-date information.
Where: Downtown Duluth; 3167 Main St., Duluth
When: May through September, Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Each Friday night over the summer food trucks take over the downtown Duluth area alongside lots of family-friendly activities, including live entertainment on the festival stage and in Parsons Alley. Sunshine Alchemy, Uptown Food Truck, Tom+Chee Food Truck, Steel City Pops and Simply Done Donuts are some of the food trucks that have participated in the event. Check the website for updates. The first Friday of each month there is also a free movie screened at the fountain as part of “Flicks on the Bricks.”
Where: Woodruff Park; 91 Peachtree St. NW, Atlanta
When: Through July 27, Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Gather at Woodruff Park along Peachtree Street, between Poplar and Luckie Streets, for this special lunchtime event downtown. The fare available can include carnival food, Philly cheesesteaks, sushi, burgers, Korean street food and more, with participating trucks rotating each week. Check the website for each week’s participants. There will be live music by local performers and café seating with umbrellas throughout the park.
Where: Riverside Park; 575 Riverside Road, Roswell
When: May through September, Fourth Friday of each month from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
This evening event takes place the fourth Friday of the month. At each event visitors can find an array of different food trucks, as well as entertainment and fun for the whole family. The park also has a sprayground (for a fee) and two playgrounds to enjoy. Participating trucks rotate each month and have included Cousins Maine Lobster, Deep South Biscuit Co., Not As Famous Cookie Co., Peace of Pita and more.
