This spring, there are various free and paid local classes that will take event goers through meditation and yoga postures.
Here are some upcoming relaxing yoga events held in Atlanta that should help foster peacefulness.
Free! Yoga at the Park with King Pops
When: April 8-Oct. 28, 7 to 8 p.m.
Where: Foundation / Old 4th Ward Skatepark
While the weather is warm, enjoy free outdoor yoga on Sunday evenings at Yoga at the Park hosted by King of Pops and yoga teacher Rachelle Knowles. Ascend to the top of the hill at the park to mingle with event attendees around 6:30 p.m. Then at 7 p.m., shift your mindset to the yoga practice, because that’s when the class begins.
Black Magic Yoga
When: April 9- Dec. 31, 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Cost: $8 for an advanced ticket
Immerse yourself into active meditation during Black Magic Yoga hosted by Osatyam. Tap into your mindfulness while listening to trance drum music played during the event. Complimentary tea will also be available to attendees. Buy your ticket in advance online.
Free Friday Gratitude Yoga Flow
When: April 13- June 29, 12 to 1:15 p.m.
Where: Vital Life Health Center
If you’re free on Fridays during lunchtime, head over to Vital Life Health Center for their Friday Gratitude Yoga Flow. The chiropractor service is offering yoga at no cost as a part of its community outreach.
Yoga & Bellinis
When: April 14- Nov. 10, 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.
Where: cycle élan
Cost: $5 for the first class or $25 for a class pass
Center yourself with restorative yoga at cycle élan during their Yoga & Bellinis event held once a month on Saturdays. During the class, attendees will get to stretch out their muscles with poses held for around five minutes. To top the morning off, bellinis will be served to attendees.
Wild Hare Yoga
When: April 25- June 27, 6 to 7 p.m.
Where: Red Hare Brewing Company
Cost: $15 for a single class
Let loose at Wild Hare Yoga, which provides a unique experience that combines yoga and craft beer. The event hosted by The Rolling Mat and Red Hare Brewing Company offers an hour of yoga and a pint of beer to attendees. Plan for this event to happen on the last Wednesday of the month, and tickets can be purchased online.
