Valentine’s Day is on its way. Facebook timelines are about to be filled with with couples’ professing their love for each other, and grocery-store aisle are already cluttered with chocolates, roses and pink teddy bears.
Whether you’re single or whether you have a significant other, there are many ways to enjoy the holiday of love in Atlanta this year. Check out these five ideas to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Where: Oakland Cemetery
Cost: Free to $16
What: An hourlong tour through Historic Oakland Cemetery explores the loves and lives of past Atlantans and acknowledges other symbols of love and devotion along the way. Ticketholders will get to take home a special Valentine’s treat. This event was rescheduled for Feb. 17 and 18 due to inclement weather.
When: Feb. 10, 7 to 11 p.m.
Where: Atlanta Botanical Garden
Cost: $45 per person
What: At Valentines in the Garden visitors can enjoy music, dancing, drinks, food and a beautiful display of orchids. You can book a romantic dinner at the garden’s Longleaf restaurant, and there’s an opportunity to book a time to renew your wedding vows at the Skyline Garden.
When: Feb. 14, 8 and 10:30 p.m.
Where: Dad’s Garage
Cost: $16.50 to $35.50
What: Have a laugh at this improv comedy show featuring some of “your love stories gone right and wrong.” Just a warning: adult humor will be used, and the show may not be appropriate for children. There are general admission and VIP tickets available. Tickets cost less if you buy them online in advance, and VIP tickets are not sold at the door.
When: Feb. 3 through March 3, Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Shakespeare Tavern
Cost: $23 to $42
What: Watch the ancient love drama unfold on the Atlanta Shakespeare Company’s 18th anniversary of this performance. The show on Feb. 14 is sold out, but there are tickets available for the performances before and after Valentine’s Day.
When: Feb. 14, 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: Todd English Tavern
Cost: $40 per person
