Dinner and a show is one of the most classic date night combinations, and this winter Atlanta performing arts groups are ready to entertain couples out for a memorable night on the town.

Over the next six weeks Atlantans have opportunities to see a symphony, tango dancing, a 1940s musical revue, a live music tribute to The Beatles and two of the most classic love stories.

Week 1: Sleeping Beauty

Synopsis: The Fox Theatre presents the return of The State Ballet Theatre of Russia with a timeless production of “Sleeping Beauty.”

Week 2: Leonard Bernstein and the Beethoven Seventh

When: Jan. 11 and 13

Where: Woodruff Arts Center, Symphony Hall

Synopsis: Join Atlanta Symphony Orchestra guest conductor Peter Oundjian for the toe-tapping ballet Fancy Free by the 25-year-old Leonard Bernstein, and for the last piece Bernstein conducted before his death at 72, Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony. Also be amazed by ASO Concertmaster David Coucheron’s performance of the Saint-Saëns Violin Concerto.

Week 3: Tango Fire

Synopsis: In The Mood,” a 1940s musical revue, creates a nostalgic atmosphere that transports the audience back in time. The show features the String of Pearls Orchestra and the In The Mood Singers & Dancers.

Week 5: Romeo and Juliet

When: Feb. 3 to March 3

Where: New American Shakespeare Tavern

Synopsis: Atlanta Shakespeare Company invites you to join them for the 18th anniversary of performing “Romeo and Juliet” about young lovers, feuding families and one Friar with good intentions.

Week 6: Rain – A Tribute To The Beatles

When: Feb. 11

Where: Fox Theatre
